Getting the ball rolling
Thanks to whomever started this page up, I was going to do it today but you've saved me the trouble. To get things going, what should be included on this page? A full list of merit rewards for every TF and Arc would be very useful, but quite large. Should it be on its own page? Likewise a full list what you can buy with merits and the cost is useful, but should it be on this page or should the costs go on each IO's own page? --Weatherby Goode 16:10, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
I'd say both. --K26dp 17:32, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
TF Merit Rewards
Preserving this here, since the thread will go poof when i13 goes live. From Catwoorg's Meritorius Measurement thread on the official forums:
'Leandro did most of the compiling, and Bionic Flea kicked off the data collection.

Merits for GM kills.
Some, if not all, Giant Monsters also drop Merits upon defeat. I got either 2 or 6 merits (I can't remember which,) for killing Babbage in Boomtown. Perhaps someone has some more info on this? BlodFang 22:19, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
DR formula
We've got this line, 'Repeating the same Task Force/Strike Force/Trial within 24 hours will lessen the Merit Rewards by this formula: 1 / (# of attempts), rounded down.', coming from the thread at [1], where multiple players who've tested it confirm that the way the devs said it works is not how it actually works.
So what does this mean? 'Diminishing Returns on Taskforces, Strikeforces, Trials and Raids that DO give a reward option upon completion will always give 50% rewards for subsequent completions within the 24 hour time period.' Is this a conflict, or is this a statement that the DR formula is different between tasks that always, automatically give Merits and tasks that give a dialog box choice between Merits and something else? Corebreach 04:07, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
- Something that gives a reward - respec, hamidon raid, etc - other than merits at the end gives 50% every subsequent completion in 24 hours. Anything that only gives merits, it's 1/(attempts). This is straight from Synapse. -- Agge (talk) 05:36, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks. It'd be cool to link a reference to that. Or was it in a private message? Corebreach 07:38, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
- Look at the DR section again: there's a link now; I added it last night. :) -- Agge (talk) 16:04, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
MPM should be Mins per Merit
btw the wiki page is wrong (*as was Synpase btw) using MPM as 'merits per min.'
Taking the equation as min/(merits/min)That reduces to min*min/merits.
It should be mins per meritmin/(min/merits)which reduces to simply merits
I'll happily make the change after some time for comments.Catwhoorg 16:08, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
Cap?
Is there a known cap on merits? -- StarGeekTalk page 22:31, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
- I would guess it's 9999 like tickets, but I'm nowhere near that to find out. --Blondeshell 00:24, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
